This year we have an exciting range of music from cartoons movies, including The Lion King, The Incredibles, and Brave. This blog will just feature samples of the music you will work on at camp:
The Incredibles
Brave
The Lion King
There will also be ensemble music that your coach will pick. I personally would love to hear the Sailor Moon Theme song, or The theme to Batman: The Animated Series. What would you like to hear?
Last year we did our first ever Costume Contest, and it was so fun, we are doing it again!
We ask that the kids come dressed as their favorite cartoon character, whether it's Snow White or Bugs Bunny.
It can be exactly like the character, or a little different, for example:

It is going to be better than last years camp, when we has a record breaking 140 students!
This year we have even more fun planned, with music from famous animated movies, folder decorating and costume contests, professional guest performers, and coaching each day for each instrument.
The goal of MVYSO is to create an atmosphere in which children can learn excellence in music, make friends, and have a good time.
We invite you to learn more about our program by visiting the website here, reading future blog posts, and contacting us with any questions.
Below you can see a few highlights of last years music camp.

This year's Maple Valley Music camp was a success! It was fun, the kids were great to work with, and the musical development was fantastic.
I thought I'd post a bunch of the photos that I took during the week.
